Will our marriage be legally recognised in the UK?

Weddings performed abroad are legally recognised in the UK.

Can we get married at any time?

Weddings can take place at any time of year (Town Halls are closed at weekends & Bank Holidays), but actual time of day will vary between resorts and can be confirmed by your wedding planner. A provisional date and time for your wedding will be given to you at time of booking followed by confirmation within 6 weeks.

Can you organise the wedding reception?

Yes we would be happy to arrange this for you no matter how large or small. Arrangements are made in the UK but finalised and paid for locally in the resort.

What about inviting guests?

Amathus Holidays can arrange group bookings for your family and friends to stay in the same accommodation or elsewhere. Group discounts may apply.

Are there extra services to those listed that we can purchase?

Optional extras can be added onto any of our packages and if you decide you would like to add anything else once in resort,this can be easily arranged by your wedding planner and paid for locally.

Can we have an Amathus Wedding without an Amathus holiday?

Yes you can. There will be an administration charge of £250 for this service in addition to the package prices given.

How long after we arrive in Greece or Cyprus can we get married?

For Cyprus weddings, you can generally marry after 5 working days (Mon-Fri). In Greece you must arrive at least 7 working days before the wedding.

Does our insurance cover the wedding?

We offer extra insurance to cover wedding items such as rings, gifts and photos.

How secure is my wedding?

Your arrangements are fully protected by the Civil Aviation authority ATOL number 1272 and we are members of ABTA. Booking conditions for your holiday are specified in the current Amathus Collection brochure and on the website (www.amathusweddings.co.uk). There is a non-refundable deposit of £200 per wedding.
